Following on from my post last weekend on My Planner, today I will share my daily planner page. This is my planner page for my working week - I use one page per day. As mentioned previously, I find commercial diary pages don't suit my needs, so I have designed my own pages, based on what I need and use. I have changed my daily planner template numerous times, although the one I am currently using has definitely lasted the longest and has been the most efficient. So, here it is...
Today's Top 3 Priorities
- I am definitely guilty of writing myself a to-do list a mile long and only getting half-way through it! By having the top 3 priorities for the day at the top of the page, it helps me to pick things for my to-do list from my master to-do lists that will help me achieve my priorities. It is like daily goal-setting, and it helps to keep me on track, and to also set myself an achievable amount of jobs for one day!
Today's Appointments- This space allows me to enter any meetings, classes, appointments that I have scheduled for that day. I write it in chronological order from the top. I love that there is no wasted space here, as I only write in the times that I need to be somewhere, without having all of the hour/half-hourly times of the day listed down the page.
Today's To Do List
- This is obviously my to-do list for the day. As mentioned previously, I have a couple of master to-do lists, on which have my big/ongoing projects listed, so I always check the master list, to see if there is anything that I need to do that will contribute to the completion of the overall bigger job. I also check my emails and list any follow-up jobs here, and I add things during the day too, as I see people and have things to follow-up from our discussions.
I have to write everything down, otherwise I simply forget! I learnt a long time ago that I am just not one of those people who can remember to do things - I HAVE to write it down!
My daily planner page is marked with this photo divider that I got with my original Day Timer diary, which has space for four photos (2 front and 2 back) that I hold close to my heart. I love having photos in my planner, as it makes is so much more personal and reminds me of special people and special times! It also makes it super easy to flip to my current working page, with such a sturdy page marker to use.

I love the idea of a custom diary / planner :)
Thanks Lisa! It is definitely worth the time investment of setting it up... It really helps me to stay on track :)
