20 Days to Clean and Organise Your Home - Week 3

This week I loved the outdoors challenge!  My poor back patio area has been very neglected after such a cold winter, so it was definitely time for me to get out there and give it some love.
This is what it looked like before:

Lots of dead leaves and weeds taking over!!
And after just a short time out there pulling weeds, trimming the plants and turning the mulch, this is what it looks like now:

All ready for my favourite flowering plants which will hopefully pop open sometime soon!

Thanks Lisa - we are very lucky to have two beautiful acres, which my hubby has done an amazing job of establishing as beautiful gardens. Unfortunately, whoever built the house plonked the pool right outside the back of the house, which makes our patio area rather small. We try to keep the gardens the house-side of the pool really simple and low lying, so that they create the feeling of space, but those green pool fence bars always irk me! Maybe one day I will save up to get my dream glass fence ;) I always forget about the bars when my favourite flowers come along though!

Oh wow the amaryllis grow outside there, I'm so used to seing them only on pots that I keep forgetting they actually can grow somewhere :)
Nice job on the weeding, the garden looks amazing.

Thanks Leena! I forget how lucky we are here with our warm climate... I hope it isn't getting too cold this time of year on your side of the world ;)
