I made these lovely little cupcakes as thank-you gifts for my sister's baby shower last year.
As it was her second baby, she didn't want a big party again, so we arranged a high tea with just a few friends and immediate family for her. But, we still wanted both her and her guests to feel special, so we arranged some special touches to make the afternoon a little bit special.
We got these beautiful balloons from Spotlight:
And I made a little cupcake fashwasher and 'party pack' for each of the girls at the afternoon tea.
I rolled the washers tightly, it takes a little practice to get it right, but once you know how to do it, it is easy! Just fold the washer a few times, and then roll it into a cupcake shape, and pop into a cupcake case to hold it in place. I put these cute little clips on top, as the 'icing'.
And the little party packs? They had an assortment of girly things, like sweet flavoured lip balm, scented soap, a scented lipstick eraser, and scented tissues.
And for the Mummy-to-Be, she got a cupcake facewasher too, but she also got one of my Nappy Cakes.
I LOVE giving Nappy Cakes as gifts, I have given dozens of them over the years. Another cute way of wrapping a really simple gift, but that is a post for another day...
